FeaturesDuring the run

Keep the phone in your pack. Hear every lap and climb.

Trailbuddy speaks your laps and climbs out loud, reminds you to eat and drink, and keeps the run on your Lock Screen and Apple Watch.

Nobody wants to stop on a descent to read a split. Trailbuddy speaks every lap and every known climb out loud, through your earbuds or the phone's speaker, and keeps the run on the Lock Screen and your wrist.

Trailbuddy speaks every lap and every known climb

When a lap closes, Trailbuddy says the time, how many seconds faster or slower it was than your average and your average heart rate. When you finish a climb or descent you have run before, Trailbuddy says your time on it, the gap to your best and your climb or descent rate. Trailbuddy speaks in the app's language and lowers your music while it talks.

Hear when to eat and drink

Pick an interval of 20 to 60 minutes in the voice settings, and Trailbuddy reminds you out loud each time that much moving time has passed: "1 hour, 20 minutes. Time to eat and drink." Fueling on a long run no longer depends on remembering. The reminders stay off until you pick an interval.

Read the run without unlocking

Trailbuddy's Live Activity keeps the timer, distance, pace and heart rate, the lap in progress, your previous lap and the lap's average and maximum heart rate on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. With an Apple Watch paired, Trailbuddy opens its watch app when the run starts and shows the time, the lap in progress, your last lap against your average (or your last climb split when it is newer), heart rate, distance and vertical. The watch taps your wrist at every lap and gives you Lap and Pause. Your iPhone records the run and the watch mirrors it.

A running tracker

Stop, unzip, squint

Pull the phone out of the vest, unlock it in the sun and find the split. Then find your rhythm again.

Trailbuddy

"Lap 2 completed in 24 minutes, 18 seconds."

Twelve seconds faster than average. Average heart rate 152. You keep running.

Pair any heart-rate strap once

Pair any standard Bluetooth chest strap once and Trailbuddy reconnects it at every start. Trailbuddy shows your heart rate live and sorts it into five zones after the run.
